FINANCIAL AID

NOCPH offers a limited number of graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships, through both the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University. Pending availability of funding, graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and funding may not be available every semester. Ohio residents are given first priority for all NOCPH financial aid. Second priority is for US residents and then for international students. In most cases, international applicants are ineligible for this type of funding until after they have completed two full semesters of study. (NOTE: students receiving both graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships are responsible for paying all fees, including parking and health insurance).

Other forms of financial may also be available through the University of Toledo (NOTE: All financial aid packages other than graduate assistantships and tuition scholarships MUST be administered through the University of Toledo). Contact Ms. Donna Holubik (419-383-4574) in the Office of Student Services and Financial Aid for more information.

NOCPH graduate assistantships provide an annual stipend plus a tuition scholarship for full-time students. Graduate assistants are required to enroll for twelve (12) semester credit hours each semester and to work for twenty (20) hours each week.  University of Toledo graduate assistantships are awarded to each student until graduation, pending the student’s GPA remains at 3.0 or above and the work is acceptable to the faculty supervisor. Full-time students generally graduate with an MPH in four (4) semesters for a single major and six (6) semesters for a dual major.

NOCPH tuition scholarships are available for both full-time (12 semester credit hours) and part-time (6 semester credit hours) students. Preference is generally given to full-time students. University of Toledo tuition scholarships are awarded to each student until graduation, pending the student’s GPA remains at 3.0 or above.
